Welcome Third Grade Families to the 2014-2015 School Year!

We are thrilled to have both your child and family as a part of "Team 3" this year. We are quite busy in the third grade and our days are filled with an array of hands-on academic activities, sacrament preparation, school-wide events, and more. We ask that you please save this link to our "Team 3 Blog."  This blog will be updated weekly and will provide the most current happenings in our classrooms and here at SFX.

Each week, you will get an overview of what academic skills are going to be covered throughout our learning day. However, please note, that your child's agenda will be the most current place to look for daily assignments and projects.  Please sign your child's agenda on Thursday nights.  This allows us to know that you are aware of your child's homework assignments and daily behavior choices for the week.  Please have your child explain to you our Team 3 "Points System."  More information will be covered about our "Points System" on our curriculum night.

Also, please note that all of the children's required summer homework assignments are due by Monday, August 25th.  If your child did not do the summer assignments for reading or math, they will be expected to complete the assignments by the end of the first quarter.  However, they will not receive the full credit due to the assignments being late.

When time permits, please review the different pages located on the right hand side of the blog. This is additional information to assist you and your child with the ins and outs of the third grade. We will also be covering all of this information, in depth, at back to school night.

We look forward to partnering with you this year and getting to know both you and your child.

Here's to a great new school year and a wonderful start to third grade!

Kindly,

    Mrs. Ezell and Mrs. Connell
